After the main Worldle puzzle comes the Flag round, and it is where many streaks of perfect days quietly end. Paint by Nation is a free way to make flags automatic. You get a country's name and its flag in blank outline, and you fill each part with the right paint. Get any part wrong and you lose one of three lives.
Recalling a flag well enough to paint it is a stronger memory than recognising it from a lineup, so the Flag round starts to feel easy. Every one of the 195 flags is included, the UN members plus Vatican City and Palestine. Coats of arms and other detailed emblems are drawn for you, so the job is the colours and the layout.
There is no clock. Easy mode shows only the colours a flag actually uses; Hard mode adds near-identical shades, which is how you learn that a flag is maroon rather than red. It is free on Gamefinity.
How to play Paint by Nation
- Read which country's flag you are painting.
- Load a colour by tapping its pot or pressing 1 to 8.
- Tap each region of the flag; every region of that colour fills at once.
- Change anything you like, then press Submit to have it marked.
- A wrong part costs a life. Three lives, and the run ends.
Paint by Nation tips
- Learn flags in families: the Nordic crosses, the pan-African colours, the tricolours.
- Mind the reversed pairs. Some flags share colours in the opposite order.
- Hard mode is where real learning happens, because shades matter.
- Look at the emblem's position for a hint about the layout.
Paint by Nation questions
Will this help with Worldle's Flag round?

How many flags are there?
All 195: the 193 UN member states plus Vatican City and Palestine.
Is there a timer?
No, not on its own page; you have three lives instead.
