Who made it, how a round works, what the bonus rounds ask, when it resets and what is free, in plain words.
Worldle is a free daily geography puzzle. It shows the outline of one country or territory, filled in black with nothing around it, and gives you six guesses to name it. It is the geography cousin of the five-letter word game whose name it echoes: one puzzle a day, shared by everyone, with feedback after each try.
Antoine Teuf, a French web developer, created Worldle in January 2022 as a side project. Today it belongs to Teuteuf Games, which is part of Habitual Publishing. The game is free to play in a browser, supported by advertising, and there are official apps for iPhone, iPad and Android.
A new Worldle appears at midnight in your device's own time zone, so friends in different countries change over at different moments. The daily puzzle is free. A free Teuteuf Games account saves your statistics across devices, and the archive of past puzzles is part of its paid Premium membership. The tips page explains how the distance, arrow and percentage are worked out.
Each of these free games keeps one part of the Worldle feeling, whether it is the map, the flags or the capitals.

After the main guess, optional rounds ask about the same country: its neighbours, its capital, its flag and more geography questions.
No. They share a daily rhythm and a similar name, but Worldle is about country outlines and comes from a different, independent developer.
